International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples
The International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples is observed on 9 August each year to raise awareness and protect the rights of the world's indigenous population. This year, 7000 Languages, The Lingua-Cultura Experience and the Global Coalition for Language Rights are partnering to highlight indigenous peoples and communities throughout the month of August on our multiple social media channels and websites.

Organizing a global rights advocacy campaign: lessons from global language advocacy day 2022
RightsCon 2022 is a virtual conference which will be held between June 6th and 10th. The GCLR will host a Lightning talk on language advocacy. The program schedule will become available to registered participants on May 23.

Mapping Language Rights in a Digital World
In June, 2021 at the RightsCon 2021 virtual conference we hosted a Community Lab. Our goal was to explore and map out how linguistic barriers impact people’s access to critical information and services.
